About the Annual NORDP Research Development Conference

NORDP, the National Organization of Research Development Professionals, advances the global capacity for and impact of research by strengthening the practice and profession of research development. The 2022 Annual Conference (NORDP 2022), will be held virtually April 24-28, 2022.

Our attendees

Research development professionals support the efforts of researchers to secure extramural research funding and initiate and nurture critical partnerships throughout the institutional research enterprise, among institutions, and with external stakeholders. With the goal of enabling competitive individual and team research and facilitating research excellence, the 2022 Annual Conference is our annual opportunity to bring together 1,100 NORDP members from around the world to develop and share best practices across the research development field, breathing new energy and information into our profession.

OUR VIRTUAL PLATFORM

Our chosen virtual platform, GTR/Pathable (the same platform that was used last year) allows for great visibility for our sponsors and collect data from all participants who visit your page. Highlights include:

• Brand awareness through your own dedicated, customizable sponsor “page”. Add photos, videos, links to documents, and your contact information.
• Direct message participants through the virtual platform
• Both you and the participants can schedule 1:1 real-time meet-ups right on the platform
• Participate in online message boards

Following your sponsorship registration and payment you'll be sent information on an online training session with the platform team that will provide detailed instructions on how to build your sponsor page, how to navigate the platform, and how to maximize your participation. The training session will be recorded in case you cannot attend the scheduled session. Please look for more information on that soon!

Important Deadlines

• Payment is due at the time of registration. Invoicing can be requested, but any invoices must be paid prior to March 31, 2022
• March 1 - Registration for NORDP 2022 opens. The early bird rate will expire March 31, and regular registration will last through April 20. Anyone who plans to represent your company must register in order to access the conference platform.
• April 6 @ 1 pm ET - Sponsor training session. The training session will instruct you in how you'll upload files, prepare your profile and more in the conference app. Although the session will be recorded, we recommend you attend live to ask questions and understand the updates that have been made since our last conference. You can view the recording here. 
• April 18 - All your content should be uploaded into the virtual platform. This includes logos, company profiles, push messages if applicable, recordings, etc. We'll let you know when the platform is open and you can begin (it'll be shortly after the training session.)
