Thank you for your interest in NORDP, the National Organization of Research Development Professionals. Founded in 2010, NORDP is an organization of individuals with professional interests in advancing the field of Research Development

  • Individual, Regular Memberships cost $249/person ($219 annual dues plus $30 initial processing fee); annual renewal memberships cost $219.00. Membership is activated upon payment. Click here to join and here to renew.

  • Individual, Trainee Memberships cost $115/person; annual Trainee renewal memberships cost $115. To qualify as a Trainee Member, individuals must, at the time of NORDP membership application, 1) have not held a paid Research Development (RD) position, 2) be enrolled in a graduate educational program (for example a Master's or Doctoral program) or hold a postdoctoral fellowship, and 3) be interested in pursuing RD as a career. Proof of eligibility must be submitted with your application and annual renewal. This can be a letter on organizational letterhead signed by the postgraduate institution or the latest transcript if still matriculated in the Master's or Ph.D. program.   • Individual, Emeritus Memberships cost $115 per person; annual Emeritus renewals cost $115. NORDP members who are eligible for this membership category are those who, at the time of application for Emeritus Member, have retired from an RD position and are not receiving compensation for more than 19 hours per week on average for work in the RD field. Emeritus members must have held a NORDP Regular Membership for at least three consecutive years prior to the year of application for Emeritus Member. Proof of eligibility must be submitted with your application and annual renewal. This includes a statement on organizational letterhead that the applicant has officially retired from the organization and a statement from the applicant that he/she is not receiving post-retirement compensation for more than 19 hours per week on average for work in the RD field. With each renewal, the Emeritus Member must present a statement confirming that his/her employment status has not changed. Membership is activated upon payment and confirmation of a completed application. All NORDP memberships are non-transferrable, non-refundable, and cannot be prorated. You can pay for your NORDP Membership by credit card, or check (checks must be received within 30 days).
