Speaker Resources

Audio Visual Support

An Audio-Visual Technician (AV Tech) will visit all session rooms at the beginning of each session to ensure the equipment and presentations are loaded and ready to go. Each room will be equipped with a projector, appropriate screen(s), appropriate microphones, sound, and a remote advancer. Speakers will select their presentations from the computer at the podium to begin the session. If you have any additional AV requests, please submit them here. Please e-mail your presentation to the conference planners at nordp@designingevents.com by Friday, April 20, 2018.

Session coordinators/scribe volunteers will be assigned to each room and will have timing cards. We strongly recommend that your final slide contain your key points/messages/conclusions in case your time is short and you need to advance your presentation to the final slide, in order to keep the presentation on time. Presenters should rehearse their presentations in advance to make sure they are under the allotted time and leave sufficient time for questions.

Aspect Ratio: 4:3 (Conventional format) for breakouts.

If you haven’t yet done so, submit a short biographical sketch here as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you at NORDP 2018, Resilience in a Shifting Research Landscape!

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Below is information you will need for your poster presentation for the IDEA SHOWCASE. The Showcase provides an opportunity for one-on- one interaction with a variety of presenters, while you enjoy drinks and refreshments. Presenters will be highlighting a particular study, solution, or approach in a poster format. All posters will be presented on Tuesday, May 8, during a Sponsor Demonstrations/Idea Showcase/Reception from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Regency Ballroom A&B. Posters in the A group will be presented from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. Posters in the B group will be presented from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

You may put your poster up any time Monday or Tuesday morning, although you are not requested to be there for the entire day, only during the Idea Showcase session.  Poster locations will be identified by a card with your poster name.

Posters will be attached to a two-sided 4’ x 8’ posterboard, so you are asked to target a space of 4’ high by 3’ 9” wide. Thumb tacks will be provided. If you need an electrical outlet or a table, please request, as they are limited.
